   The Mona Lisa is a very famous piece of art. The Mona Lisa was created by an Italian artist named Leonardo da Vinci. People describe the Mona Lisa as "the best known,the most visited,the most written about,the most sung about,the most parodied work of art in the world." " The painting, thought to be a portrait of Lisa Gherardini, the wife of Francesco del Giocondo." The painting of Mona Lisa is in oil on a poplar panel.   Have you ever tried to figure out why the Mona Lisa looks like she is smiling from far away. But, up close she does not look like she is smiling at all. Well, as you know Leonardo da Vinci made the Mona Lisa. I wonder how he made the Mona Lisa look like that! This is very spooky but, interesting at the same time.
